Job Description

Responsible for safe productive control of plant operating equipment and processes. The operator will make adjustments to plant process controls and interface with management in order to meet expected production and product quality rates in a safe manner. The operator will assist in the collection of data and reporting as directed. The operator must also be able to interpret data and react correctly to keep the process under control at all times. The operator must have good communication skills and get along well with others. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Must know the purpose and relationship of all plant equipment.
  • Control the plant processes in a safe & environmentally sound manner meeting quality, production and recovery goals.
  • Must be able to give, take, and follow direction.
  • Communicate well with others.
  • Collect and record various data throughout the facility.
  • Assist with maintenance when the process is down.
  • Must be willing and able to clean-up areas as directed.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be able to communicate well (written, verbal and otherwise).
  • Knowledge of all company safety, health, environmental and production policies.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to waist level and carry the same for short durations.
  • Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend, push, pull, and walk for extensive periods of time.
  • Ability to work at heights in excess of 100 feet.
  • Must be able to work in all conditions (indoor/outdoor).
  • Must adhere to SDR dress code and physical appearance policy.

 

Training/Licensing/Certification Requirements:

  • Must gain HAZWOPER Training Certification.
  • Must be qualified to wear a respirator.
  • Must obtain and maintain in-house mobile equipment licensing.

 

Education:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Some form of computer training or experience.
