SCALE HOUSE OPERATOR
JOB SUMMARY:
The Scale House Operator will handle all inbound and outbound truckloads. This position will also be required to be certified as a Lab. Technician and support Lab. operations when needed. This position reports to the Supply Chain/Lab. Supervisor.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to perform all duties and activities to create a safe and environmentally compliant workplace that produces high quality products in a cost-efficient manner.

- Will be responsible for directing and communicating daily inbound and outbound truck shipments to proper personnel.
- Process paperwork and data entry effectively and efficiently along with assisting with any other tasked administrative duties.
- Scan, email, and upload documents as required.
- This position will be required to be trained as a Lab. Technician and be a backup for any shift.
- Will operate and maintain all lab. and scale house equipment such as the x-ray fluorescence spectrometer (X-ray analyzer), Geiger counter, scales, etc.
- Responsible for inbound (truck and rail) material lab. analysis
- Ability to interpret data and relay information to appropriate personnel to ensure controlled process flow.
- Ability to operate truck scales in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ability to work additional assigned hours when necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- Efficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel.
- Must complete and maintain all respirator training and certification.
- Must complete and maintain proper Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) training and certifications.
- Basic knowledge and use of writing and arithmetic.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to wear respirator.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. at waist level for short durations.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, push, or pull for extended periods of time.
